Thanks for the pointer.  It looks like Vladimir and I both started from the
same place (netkit-tiny, maybe) so there hasn't been much duplication of
effort.  I have fixed the funny control character problem that has been
observed which may also make telnetd like windows telnet clients, maybe not
though. If not it should be easy to fix.  I'll integrate Vladimir's changes
and post a patch to cvs in the near future.
