[BusyBox] httpd applet MD5 auth how

I've used httpd -m password and inserted the output in the httpd.conf 
file like:
/:admin:$1$$CoERg7ynjYLsj2j4glJ34.

When looking at the headers I still see
"Authorization: Basic Q29uZjpDb25m" from the client and I get logged in.
The httpd applet is compiled with CONFIG_FEATURE_HTTPD_AUTH_MD5.

What i'm after is to _only_ support MD5 passwords, not base64 ones.
