[BusyBox] Question about Busybox Top

Hi all,

First of all i wold like to apologize if this question has been made before
or if it doesn't concern to this list (for my english too :))

I am using a Innovator board with Linux 2.4 and Busybox-1.00. I want to 
measure how many % of cpu my aplications are spending with Top but i don't
know how reliable is the data Top passes to me.

My questions are:
Should i rely on Top to measure my aplications?
Is there a better way of doing that?
