Certainly. What is your target system? I have built busybox using
newlib for both i686-pc-linux-gnu and arm-elf. The former isn't
particularly tricky, but the latter required a lot of hacking, since
newlib for arm-elf is missing a lot of POSIX headers and system calls.
In retrospect, adding arm-linux support to newlib might be a better
approach than hacking up arm-elf to support busybox.

Once I know your target, I'll see what I can do to point you in the
right direction.
