Disable CONFIG_FEATURE_LS_COLOR (or at least 
CONFIG_FEATURE_LS_COLOR_IS_DEFAULT), your terminal type doesn't support
it.  
(You could also try getting a terminal that supports ansi escape
sequences, 
or at least vt100.)
