Can't telnetd

Hi;
   I want to use the telnetd, and follow the configure ;but i meet the fault:
.........................
Trying 192.168.0.141...Connected to 192.168.0.141 (192.168.0.141).Escape character is '^]'.Connection closed by foreign host.
 
 Could someone tell me what i do next?
