Hello,
I found out that there is an undocumented command line option that you way
wish to add to http://www.busybox.net/downloads/BusyBox.html
It is init -q which tells init to re-read /etc/inittab (and perhaps more).
[root at wrap root]$ init -v
BusyBox v1.2.1 (2006.08.29-23:52+0000) multi-call binary
Usage: init
Init is the parent of all processes.
[root at wrap root]$ init -q
[root at wrap root]$
BusyBox really is great!
