ioctl vs. sysfs -- where do we go?

Hi vda, all,

ISTR that sysfs was the long-term plan of the kernel folks and that they
mean to completely(?) drop ioctl support.

In what timeframe should we migrate to "pure" sysfs and drop using
any ioctls (if a sysfs interface exists)?

PS: Implementing a FEATURE_BRCTL_FANCY with pure ioctl currently since i
suppose that many of our targets either don't have sysfs yet or may not
use it at all.
PPS: No, i didn't ment to mess with brctl nor subject all all today ;)

cheers,
Bernhard
